The next second, Liu Qinghe opened her eyes, and what she saw was not her own backyard, but a vast grassland. There was a lake ten meters in front of her, and a small house similar to her own on her left. Looking down, the grass is not that high, it grows up to the ankles, and the skin is cool when she touches it. 

‘Is this the mysterious space that keeps appearing in the novel?’

Looking up, she couldn’t see the sky shrouded in thick fog. To her right is a forest of tall, oddly shaped trees. The tree was thick and tall, and there was fog on it, and she couldn’t see the top of the tree.

After looking around for a while, she walked towards the lake. The lake is cool to the touch. She took a sip of water with her palm and found that the lake water was delicious. It’s even better than those expensive water infused with oxygen. But she couldn’t see any creatures in the lake. It’s as if there is no life at all, so the lake is basically just water.

Walking towards the house, she was startled when she saw the interior of the house. Looking at the whole house, she was sure that it was the same as her house on the outside. Sitting on the sofa, she was lost in thought. It seems her dream about the apocalypse is real. With her urgent sense of crisis, her dreams and this space, she can no longer ignore the coming apocalypse.

After reaching this conclusion, she got up from the sofa and walked out of the house. Looking at the lake, she sighed, thinking about how to get out of this place. At the thought of leaving the space, her vision blurred, disappeared from the space, and appeared in the same place as before, standing in her backyard full of sacks. Her lips curled up. 

‘So, that’s how she gets in and out of her space. Now, can she put things outside in her space?’

Walking to the nearest sack, she felt it with her hand and thought, ‘in’.

When she thought of the word, the sack disappeared. She nodded and continued experimenting with those sacks. After collecting all these seeds into her space, she got rough information about the space she was in. 

First, she can keep items or remove them from her space as she pleases. Second, if the items are linked together, she can store many items in her space at the same time. She doesn’t know if her space can support animals, so tomorrow she will go to the market to buy a few pairs of animals to try.

Looking at the dim sky, she decided to stop experimenting and take a shower before going to sleep. She still has time before the apocalypse, so she doesn’t need to rush. Tomorrow, she will go to her school to ask for leave. When the apocalypse is here, she can no longer continue with her studies, so it’s better to make preparations for the apocalypse.

Lying on the bed after taking a shower, she felt a wave of tiredness washing her body.

‘When I meet Lihua tomorrow, maybe I should give her some hints. After all, she was the first person I saw when I came here.’

With this thought, she fell into a deep sleep.

The moment she fell into deep sleep, the same thing happened to her body as before. The difference is that the translucent crystal in her brain is bigger than before and turns faster. Her body was covered in sweat and emitting an unpleasant odor as the translucent crystal spun rapidly in her brain.

She was dreaming at that moment when her body was changing. Today’s dream is different from before. This time, she stood in the open field, the sky thundered with thunder, and golden clouds rolled in the sky. With a flash of lightning, rain fell from the sky.

It’s just that this rain is different from the usual rain, the rain glowing with golden light. She could feel the rain dripping down her face, seeping through her pores into her body. Every time the rain seeps into her body, she feels her body become warm and a strange and powerful energy flows through her and eventually into her brain. That feeling is addicting.

Looking at the sky, she opened her palms to catch more rain. After a while the rain stopped, she looked down and saw a number on her palm. These numbers look like dates and times. Before she could confirm again, she was woken by her alarm clock.

Liu Qinghe reached out to the small table beside the bed. She took her phone and turned off the alarm clock with her eyes half-open. Lying in bed for a while, she recalled her dreams and looked at the ceiling. Her dream felt so real. If she read it right, today is the day of the golden rain that she has dreamed of. If it does rain today, the end of the world is 100% certain.

“Uh…” she sighed, getting up from the bed.

Today, she has a lot to do. After washing and eating breakfast, she left home and went to school. She only needs to walk twenty minutes from her home to her school. The location is the best, with a large population and easy access to anywhere. But, that’s the worst part about Apocalypse because she doesn’t know who will turn into a zombie and who won’t.

With her thoughts wandered, she soon arrived at her university. Looking at the college full of college students, she made a decision. She needs to move to a more secluded place before the apocalypse.

Instead of going to her class, Liu Qinghe went to the administrative office. She doesn’t plan to continue classes, but dropping out is troublesome. So, the best way is to take a year off from school.

When she walked to the office, she saw the commotion in front of her. Lots of people crowded there to see things. Approaching, she vaguely heard the voices of several girls arguing.

‘Um? Why is that voice so familiar?’

She quickened her pace, and after a while she reached out her hand, and finally heard it clearly. It turned out to be Yang Lihua. She finally made it to the front, and at the same time, she was crowded with people watching the show.

“Yang Lihua, before seducing someone’s boyfriend, look in the mirror first!” A girl with heavy makeup made a sharp voice. She put her left hand on her hips and pointed at Yang Lihua like a shrew.

“Ai Zhixiang, you’d better not point at me, or I will break your fingers. Did you forget that this beauty is a black belt in martial arts?” Yang Lihua said while cracking her fingers.

“What? You want to hit someone now? I know you’re a slut just by looking at your face. How dare you seduce my boyfriend, ha?!” Ai Zhixiang ignored her warning, still pointed at her and shouted loudly.

Yang Lihua let out a long breath with obvious anger on her face. “How many times have I told you that I’m not interested in your boyfriend? He’s the one who sticks to me all the time. Before scolding innocent people, please take care of your boyfriend, okay? And this face is what I was born with. You can’t blame my parents for giving me such a beautiful face, that you couldn’t get it after countless cosmetic procedures, right?” There was a hint of sarcasm in her tone.

“You! Who do you say has undergone plastic surgery countless times?” Ai Zhixiang asked, her voice raised a notch.

“Whoever responds. Anyway, I don’t have time to talk nonsense with you. I’m late for class. Go away.” Yang Lihua said while pushing Ai Zhixiang aside.

Ai Zhixiang, who was pushed away by Yang Lihua, stumbled. “You bitch! You’re asking for it!” Yang Lihua pushed her aside in public, making her lose face. After stabilizing her body, she took out a flip knife from her bag and rushed towards Yang Lihua, the tip of the knife aimed at her spine.

Looking at the situation in front of them, everyone around took a deep breath, and Liu Qinghe rushed towards Yang Lihua.

“Watch out!”
