After the sound, a small translucent crystal was floating inside Liu QingHe’s brain. She was still asleep, completely oblivious to anything. That night was the beginning of the countdown to the end of the world.
Two days later, Liu Qinghe was discharged from the hospital and is currently at the bus stop with a cast on his leg. With her backpack on, she’s checking her phone, which luckily is locked with a fingerprint, so she doesn’t need to rack her brains to find the correct passcode. On her phone, she found several phone numbers under the category of friends, another one is her workmate or classmates.
There is additional information about her home address and university. After memorizing her home address, she checked her wallet. When she went to pay for the hospitalization just now, the nurse told her that Yang Lihua had already paid. She should pay back the money when she goes to class tomorrow. There were only a few hundred yuan bills in her wallet.
She had a bank card in her wallet, but without knowing the PIN, she couldn’t get any money out of it. Liu Qinghe sighed in his heart and saw the bus coming. Sitting in the bus, she looked out the window. The architecture of this world is no different from the world before her, but influential figures such as idols, politicians, etc. are very different.
She changed buses to her house and walked for fifteen minutes. Stopping in front of her house, she saw a small two-story house with white and blue paint. A small garden takes place on a small plot of land between the gate and the house.
Walking through the garden, she saw that the garden was full of vegetables and fruits. She thought it was planted with flowers, but it turns out that ‘she’ is very similar to her in this aspect. Both of them like to grow vegetables and fruits rather than flowers. She opened the door with the key and entered her house for the first time.
Inside, she saw that the decoration of this room was simple but warm. There isn’t much furniture in this tiny home, but the warm colors chosen for the wallpaper and furniture show the warm personality of the owner.
Before going to the second floor, she circled the house. There are only three rooms on the second floor. Her bedroom, guest room and her study. She went into the bedroom and threw herself on the single bed with a thud.
Looking at the ceiling of the bedroom, she felt it was very familiar. Just when she was in a daze, suddenly, a memory flooded into her mind like a tsunami. Wave after wave of memories flooded her mind like a fast-forward movie. Holding her head, her body broke out in cold sweat.
“Uh…” Liu Qinghe hummed softly.
She struggled to endure the tearing pain in her head while curling into a fetal position. After an unknown time, the pain slowly subsided, and she could finally breathe a sigh of relief. With these memories, things would be a lot easier for her, but the pain would really kill her.
Standing up, sitting on the bed, recalling the memory of ‘her’, the corners of his pale lips twitched. It turns out that the ‘Liu Qinghe’ in this world is not an ordinary person at all. She grew up in an orphanage and learned to make money from an early age.
As someone who invests in the stock market, her assets were not little even though she couldn’t be counted as one of the richest people in the country, but it was more than enough to live lavishly until her death.
“You’ve worked hard, Qinghe.” She said in a whisper.
Liu Qinghe went to take a shower, tidied up his room, and then went back to sleep. It was so strange for her, someone who rarely slept more than five hours a day. However, since coming to this world, she has been feeling sleepy. It’s as if her body is doing something that consumes a lot of energy. Even though she’s eating a lot and taking vitamins, it’s still not enough, so her body is signaling her to go to sleep.
Drying her hair, she yawned and slid into the blanket. As soon as her head touched the soft pillow, she fell asleep. She even snores occasionally.
While her brain went into deep sleep mode, her body continued to mutate. The cells in her body began to repair her body. Those little ailments were healed, and those who were doing well got better. It’s like a machine with a major upgrade. Even her broken bones and asthma were healed.
A translucent crystal in her brain spins as her body changes. Absorb bad cells while producing upgraded cells. This process happens every time she sleeps.
But today, her sleep was not without dreams. In the dream, Liu Qinghe saw hell on earth, where people killed each other for a piece of cold hard bread or a bag of biscuits. In addition to humans, there are mutated animals, mutated plants, and even zombies.
She watched the world fall into chaos, but there was nothing she could do. The soil, water and air of the world have been infected by the zombie virus. There is almost no land left to grow. Humanity is facing a crisis, and the world has entered an era of doomsday.
The red moon hangs in the dark sky, the temperature at night is extremely cold, and during the day, the blazing sun burns the earth and raises the temperature to extremely hot. With no food, no drink, no shelter, in dangerous conditions, human beings die one by one until less than 30 percent of the world remains. Not to mention that at the beginning of the end of the world, more than half of the population is infected with a zombie virus.
When she dreamed of the end of the world, for the first time in her life, she was terrified. Before, she was not afraid of death, but now, looking at the scene in front of her, she felt that death was better than living in hell on earth.
Looking down at her feet, there was a calendar, and the date marked on it was less than three months away. Liu Qinghe bent down to take the calendar, and the moment his fingers touched the calendar, it turned into a zombie with a rotten face. The zombie opened its mouth and bit her head.
She screamed and woke up suddenly. Her body was covered in cold sweat, and her heart was beating very fast. She raised her trembling hand and wiped her forehead. Feeling sticky like liquid on her fingers, she lowered her hand and looked.
“Uh…” She retched and rushed into the bathroom, throwing up as soon as she saw what was on her finger.
